I am 15 posts / 2 months into my blog so I wanted to do a quick post on why I started blogging.
My husband has been working night shifts for close to a year now and I’ve had to get used to spending evenings alone. I would typically come home from work, go to the gym or so some type of exercise and then eat and watch Netflix. I also would spend way too much time scrolling through Instagram watching others live lives that I wish I were living. It became a habit that was doing nothing for me other than putting me down and so I decided I needed to change what I was doing.
I have wanted to start a blog for a while but I kept telling myself that others wouldn’t want to read it, I’m not the best writer, I don’t have the time, I don’t have the best camera…. and so many other negative thoughts. I also had no clue where to even begin setting up a blog.
I eventually got tired of all the negative and knew that I was the only one that could change my attitude and thoughts. I reached out to other bloggers, watched many youtube videos, googled all my questions, attended a webinar, everything I could think of to get motivated and get things started.
15 posts later I have learned that I love blogging. I love putting my thoughts out into the world. I love sharing my struggles, my accomplishments, and my adventures. I hope that in doing so I can inspire at least one person to keep going. To find something you love whether you feel doubtful of it and go for it! Blogging has also inspired me to travel more, and adventure more. I have loved documenting my trips, adventures, and thoughts.
I am far from being a professional blogger, I have a long way to go, but I have absolutely no regrets of starting and I am excited to see where it takes me.
My husband has now started working an entirely different shift, he is now home in the evenings which I am so happy and grateful for. My blogging will continue but will be making an adjustment to my posting schedule.
Thank you for following along!
