I met my husband Ronnie in high school when I was 15. We were then married 5 years later. We knew we wanted to do something spontaneous after we got married so we picked up everything and moved to the beach (Outer Banks, North Carolina). That’s where my love for moving began.

We lived there for a few years before deciding we wanted a change, so we packed up and headed North to Indiana. We didn’t have jobs or a plan but that didn’t stop us! Needless to say, we weren’t there for very long because the job search was quite a bit harder than we had expected. When summer rolled around we headed back to the beach. Beach days, and Fish tacos here we come!!

Two years later we moved again. This time we ended up in Virginia, which we stayed for several years until moved again to Indiana and then from Indiana back to the beach except for this time we hit a road bump! We, unfortunately, had everything we owned stolen from us while staying in a hotel during our move. We woke up to a missing truck and attached U-haul! Are you kidding me! Thankfully we had very little, which tends to happen when you move often and we were able to recover quickly (This is how I grew my love for minimalism). We stayed at the beach for another year and had hopes of staying longer but plans changed and we headed for Indiana but ended up staying in Virginia.

Moving, meeting new faces, new surroundings, new challenges became almost an addiction for me. I loved it!

We’ve been in Virginia now for 1 1/2 years and we have no intentions of moving (although you never know) but we have full intentions to travel as much as we can. Our goal at this point is to minimize our debt and maximize living! We are very close (that’s another post) and to establish our “home sweet home.” Whatever that may be!

Pt. 2 of my story is still being lived ………. Stay tuned!
